History of APHA – Andhra Pradesh Hotels Association Since 1952

Since 1952

Seven Decades of Serving the Hotel & Hospitality Industry of Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh Hotels Association (APHA) was established in the year 1952, making it one of the longest-standing hotel associations in South India.

It was sponsored by four Regional Associations representing the Eastern, Northern, Western and Southern regions of Andhra Pradesh, whose members signed the founding charter in 1952. From that founding moment, APHA set out to be the unified voice of the hotel and hospitality industry across the state.

Growth Over the Decades

Over more than seven decades, APHA has grown from a regional network into a statewide body representing hundreds of hotels, lodges and allied hospitality businesses across all districts of Andhra Pradesh — from Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam in the north to Chittoor and Tirupati in the south.

What APHA Stands For

APHA supports its members with licence assistance and timely renewals, industry advocacy with government departments, training workshops, and community programs including food carnivals, cultural events, Swachh Bharat participation and charity drives. Through every decade, the association's spirit of fellowship and service has remained its foundation.
